After accusing the baseball player Mike Dawson of using steroids, the gossip columnist of the Daily Planet Linda Lake is followed by the athlete with destroyed career. She transforms herself into water and drags Mike to a fountain drowning him. Then she overhears the private conversation of Lana and Chloe about the doubts of Lana to accept Lexs proposal since she is still in love with Clark and she prints the story in the news.
